An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Russian Movie Poster (measures 32 3/4" x 46 3/4" [83 x 119 cm]) (Learn More) Dama s Sobachkoy (released in the U.S. in 1962 as "Lady With the Dog", and in other English-speaking countries as "The Lady with the Little Dog"), the 1960 Iosif Kheifits Russian infidelity romantic melodrama ("Anton Chekhov's classic love story"; about a rich married Moscow banker who meets a beautiful married woman while on vacation, and they have an affair, and when they both return to Moscow with their spouses, and they resume their affair) starring Iya Sawina, Aleksey Batalov, Nina Alisova, Pantelejmon Krymov, and Yuri Medevdev. Note that this story begins with the banker seeing the woman walk her dog each day, and he dreams of having an affair with her, and of course he does! If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this is a "country of origin" poster for this Russian movie! Also note that this looks like it could be an incomplete poster (because the artwork runs off the left and right, and there is no title or credits on the poster). But we think it is complete, because it is the exact same size as other Russian export posters of this time, and because this poster also has a blank area at top left. They were sent blank to other countries so that the specific country that the poster was used in could overprint or write in titles in their own language. Condition: very good.
