The Candidate, the 1972 Michael Ritchie political politics campaign election melodrama ("Bill McKay has a lot going for him... But nothing compared to what's coming."; "This advertisement has been paid for by Warner Bros. who would love The Candidate to be a winner."; "McKay the better way"; "Written by Jeremy Larner") starring Robert Redford (in the title role), Peter Boyle, Melvyn Douglas ("as John J. McKay"), Karen Carlson, and Morgan Upton

If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know.
Important Added Info: Note that this poster was created as a "mock" campaign poster for the character Redford played in the movie, and it was distributed to movie theaters showing the movie. One collector tells us that a New York theater setup an empty storefront across the street to look like a campaign headquarters using these posters and balloons with the same image. Redford even showed up to sign autographs at the fake headquarters.

Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: very good. The poster was never folded and it had creases, tears, and some tiny paper loss around the edges. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was nicely backed, and displays well!
