An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Russian Export (printed for use in French speaking countries) Movie Poster (measures 27 1/2" x 40 1/4" [70 x 102 cm]) (Learn More) Admiral Nakhimov, the 1947 (released in the U.S. in 1949) Vsevolod Pudovkin Russian biographical navy war biographical melodrama (a biography of Admiral Pavel Nakhimov, one of the most acclaimed admirals in Russian history, who fought against the Turkish fleet during the Crimean War of 1853) starring Aleksei Dikij (in the title role as Admiral Nakhimov), Yevgeni Samojlov, Vladimir Vladislavsky, Vsevolod Pudovkin, and Nikoali Chaplygun Artist: Khrapovitsky Important Added Info: Note that this is a "country of origin" poster for this Russian movie! Also note that this Russian poster was printed in Russia, but was intended to be used when the movie was shown in French speaking countries. Finally, note that this poster was folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube. Condition: fair. The poster has separated along most of its folds (which also have some paper loss in a few areas). Almost all are backed by tape and the tape slightly bleeds through to the front (except it has caused much discoloration at upper center along the vertical foldline). The poster is in urgent need of restoration, and certainly a competent restorer could repair the defects described above, but please bear in mind the cost of restoration before placing a bid.
