An Unfolded Special Poster (measures 27" x 40" [69 x 102 cm]) (Learn More) Quentin Tarantino's Death Proof, the 2007 Quentin Tarantino horror car chase thriller ("These 8 women are about to meet 1 diabolical man!"; "White-hot terror at 200 MPH!"; part 2 of the "Grindhouse" double-bill; part 1 was "Planet Terror") starring Kurt Russell ("Kurt Russell is Death Proof"; as Stuntman Mike), Rosario Dawson, Vanessa Ferlito, Jordan Ladd, Rose McGowan, Sydney Tamiia Poitier (daughter of Sidney Poitier!), Tracie Thoms, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, and Zoe Bell ("as herself"). Note that this movie was originally intended to be released solely as a double-bill with "Planet Terror", but after its initial double-bill release, the distributors found that some movie theaters wanted to only show the movies separately, so the two movies were given a limited separate release, and posters from those separate releases are quite scarce! Important Added Info: Note that this poster has "PRINTED IN U.S.A." in the left of the bottom border, and a 2007 copyright in the right of the bottom border. It looks like a gigantic "lobby card", and maybe that is why it was created, to give it a "retro" feel. We don't know if this poster was created for theater use, but it definitely does not seem to be a commercial poster (for one thing, we have never seen it sold, but also, there is a 12" x 18" version of this poster that has "faux" defects scattered throughout, and that poster WAS sold commercially, so it seems quite possible this was intended for theater use). It is also possible it is some sort of printer's test for a poster that never got distributed. On the back, it has written in marker "CREW #2 DEATH PROOF #11/20 2/12", which seems like the kind of thing that might have been written on a test poster. If anyone knows more about this poster, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Condition: good to very good. The poster was never folded.
