An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Card (LC; measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More) The Spieler, the 1928 Tay Garnett carnival crime thriller ("From the original story by Hal Conklin"; about a pretty woman who owns a carnival, and she does all she can to keep the crooks out of it, but she is fighting an uphill battle; interestingly, the film shows many of the "cons" used on carnival midways in detail!) starring Alan Hale Sr., Renee Adoree, Fred Kohler, Clyde Cook, and Fred Warren NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that ANY movie paper items from this movie are incredibly rare. We have only previously auctioned a single lobby card (with a different scene from this one), three stills, and a glass slide from this movie (and NO other movie paper) until we received this lobby card! Note that there is a stamp on the back that reads "FROM THE COLLECTION OF Michael R. Hawks", who most would consider the premier lobby card collector and expert in the world (and he is still an active collector, looking for the last few items he needs!). Also note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has. Condition: very good to fine. There is the tiniest of paper loss in the bottom right corner. Otherwise, the card is in nice condition.
