Original Vintage Theatrical Folded One-Sheet Movie Poster (27" x 41") (Learn More) Doppleganger (released outside of England as "Journey to the Far Side of the Sun"), the 1969 Robert Parrish English outer space science fiction (sci-fi) thriller ("Man has conquered the moon with the epic Apollo 11 flight! Now take another momentous journey!"; "You will meet yourself face-to-face... when Earth meets its duplicate in outer space!") starring Roy Thinnes, Ian Hendry, Lynn Loring, Patrick Wymark, Loni von Friedl, and Herbert Lom. Note that although this movie was released in England as "Doppleganger", it was apparently released everywhere else as "Journey to the Far Side of the Sun", and because we have never auctioned even one English movie paper item with the English title, we list it under the alternate title, because that is what everyone knows the film by. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this poster was oddly folded. There are two equally spaced vertical foldlines instead of a single vertical foldline down the center of the poster. Condition: very good to fine. There are minor creases in the foldlines.. Note that this poster (and 54 other posters we are selling separately on eBay this week) came directly from a man who worked at Universal from the 1960s to the 1980s. These posters were NEVER used in theaters, but were given to the owner as samples straight from the printer! That is why this group of posters contains many rare advance and "foreign" one-sheets, some of which may never have actually ended up going to theaters. Be sure to look at the other 54 posters from this collection, all of which will have this paragraph on them (we also are selling hundreds of one-sheets that are not from this collection, and those will not this paragraph on them).
