An Original Vintage Theatrical Autographed Movie Lobby Card (LC; measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More) Greenwich Village, the 1944 Walter Lang New York City romantic musical ("Suggested by a story by Frederick Hazlitt Brennan"; "Lyrics & Music by Leo Robin & Nacio Herb Brown"; set in 1922, about a young man who wants to be a composer of classical music, and he moves to New York City, but he ends up involved with a bunch of people putting on a musical revue) starring Carmen Miranda, Don Ameche, William Bendix, Vivian Blaine ("The Cherry Blonde"), Felix Bressart (he had a memorable role in Lubitsch's "The Shop Around the Corner"), Tony & Sally DeMarco, The Revuers (a musical ensemble who only appeared in this movie), Adolph Green, Betty Comden, and Judy Holliday (in her second uncredited movie role as one of the Revuers!; her first appearance was as an extra six years before this, and she does not appear on any advertising for that movie, but she does prominently appear on one of the lobby cards for this movie) NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Note that our consignor purchased a collection of autographed stills that were collected by Leonard Sorgi, who was a unit manager for ABC for shows like The Soupy Sales Show, The Jerry Mahony Show, and many others. He was also Unit Manager for the Academy Awards for a number of years, and during his long and varied career, he met many celebrities and obtained autographs from them in person (often personalized to him).
