An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27 1/2" x 41") (Learn More) Frank Lloyd's This Woman is Mine, the 1941 Frank Lloyd northern fur trade seafaring romantic love triangle melodrama ("Based on the novel 'I, James Lewis' by Gilbert W. Gabriel"; about the passengers and crew of a ship that sails from New York to Oregon, to gather furs, and the captain, played by Walter Brennan is a Captain Bligh-like frightening man who abuses the passengers and crew alike) starring Franchot Tone, John Carroll, Walter Brennan, Carol Bruce, Nigel Bruce, Leo G. Carroll, and Sig Ruman (as John Jacob Astor) NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Condition: good to very good. This poster has been linenbacked, but it was not very well done, either because the restorer did not do a very good job, or because the years since it has been linenbacked have not been kind to the poster. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. Generally, it had tiny paper loss at the crossfolds, creases, tiny tears, and some tiny bits of paper loss on parts of some foldlines, and some minor border wear. The poster was pretty well backed, but you can see signs of the above general defects and the restoration of the defects (in some cases, as should be immediately evident in our image, the linenbacker did no restoration to some of the defects). I can imagine some collectors displaying this poster just as it is, and accepting the defects and signs of restoration, although other collectors would only display it if it had additional restoration.
