A Set of 3 Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked Italian Photobusta Movie Posters (lrg pbustas; measure 26 1/2" x 36 3/4" [67 x 93 cm]) (Learn More) Il Buono, il Brutto, il Cattivo (released in the U.S. in 1968 as "The Good, the Bad and the Ugly"), the classic 1966 Sergio Leone German/Italian/Spanish Civil War cowboy spaghetti western ("For Three Men The Civil War Wasn't Hell. It Was Practice!"; "Screenplay by Age-Scarpelli, Luciano Vincenzoni and Sergio Leone") starring Clint Eastwood (in the title role as The Good), Lee Van Cleef (in the title role as The Bad), Eli Wallach (in the title role as The Ugly; billed as "also starring Eli Wallach in the role of Tuco"), Aldo Giuffre, Mario Brega, Antonio Casas, Rada Rassimov, Aldo Sambrel, Enzo Petito, Luigi Pistilli, Livio Lorenzon, Al Mulloch, Sergio Mendizabal, Molino Rojo, and Lorenzo Robledo NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that these are "country of origin" posters for this partially Italian movie! Note that it is difficult to accurately date Italian posters, and some unmarked re-release posters can be extremely difficult to distinguish from first releases, so please bear that in mind before you place a bid. We used our best information to date this poster, but we can't always guarantee that the Italian posters we sell are not from an unmarked re-release, but this will only prove to be true in a very tiny number of cases. What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: very good. Each of the three posters had creases, tiny tears, and tiny bits of paper loss on parts of the foldlines, with pinholes, tears, and tiny paper loss around the edges, with a few scuffs scattered in each image (please look at our super-sized images closely to get a good sense of the location of the defects on each poster). Overall, the posters were in very good condition prior to linenbacking. The posters were well backed (when you inspect them close up, you can see many tiny defects and restoration of those, but those are typical of all large Italian photobustas, and nobody looks at these posters close up!; from any reasonable viewing distance, they display really well).
