An Undated (probably 1934) Re-release Vintage Theatrical Window Card Movie Poster (WC; measures 14" x 22") (Learn More) Daughters of Today, the 1924 Rollin S. Sturgeon silent corrupt youth bad girl teen thriller ("Story of a high school girl led into a life of shame!"; "Adults Only!"; "Separate shows for women & men only"; about a small town girl who graduates high school and goes to college in the big city, where she falls in with a bad crowd, led by Patsy Ruth Miller, who is rich and wild, and who takes the girl to wild parties, where young men and women play strip poker!; the girl gets a boyfriend, and he tries to go too far, and is later found dead, and the girl is a suspect in his murder; but she is cleared in the end, and she returns home to the country, sadder but wiser, where she marries her childhood sweetheart!) starring Patsy Ruth Miller, Ralph Graves, Edna Murphy, Edward Hearn, Philo McCullough, George Nichols, and Zasu Pitts. Note that, as was common with these very frank "sex" movies of the 1930s and 1940s, it was shown separately to men and women (only men were allowed to one showing, and only women allowed to another)! If anyone knows more about this movie, please e-mail us and we will post it here. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that there was an English movie of this title in 1933, and a Pakistani movie of this title in 1928, but it seems incredibly likely that this card is from the 1924 U.S. movie. A perpetual calendar shows that the dates referenced at the top of the card occurred in 1923, 1934, and 1940, and since this movie was not released until 1924, it seems quite likely it is from a 1934 re-release of the movie. If anyone knows more about this poster or this movie, please e-mail us and we will post it here. This window card was never folded. Often window cards would be folded across the middle, because that would make them 11" x 14", and they could then be sent with standard folded posters. Most collectors put an added value on a window card that has never been folded. Condition: good to very good. The entire card has darkened, much more in the borders. There are some stains around the edges, and a few scuffs scattered in the image. The card has never had any restoration! Learn More about condition grades
