An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Six-Sheet Movie Poster (measures 81" x 81") (Learn More)

The Green-Eyed Monster, the 1919 Norman Film Manufacturing Company black African American silent romantic railroad train adventure melodrama ("WITH AN ALL-COLORED CAST"; "Stupendous All-Star Negro Motion Picture"; "A Big Special Production in Eight Reels of Thrills! Action! Punch! $1,000,000 Railroad Equipment Used in this Production"; "Endorsed by the most Prominent Colored People of America as being the greatest picture of its kind."; "Five smashing reels of Thrills! Action!! Punch!!!"; "See the $80,000.00 train wreck in 'The Green Eyed Monster'"; the movie deals with two men in love with one girl and also two railroads competing for the same route; to determine which railroad should be given the route, a race between the two trains is organized, and of course, the man who won the race would also be the one who would win his sweetheart; the producers of the movie claim that over $1,000,000 of railroad equipment was used in the movie and that a climactic train wreck cost over $80,000!; the "Green Eyed Monster" of the title referred to both jealousy, and also one of the trains in the movie) starring Jack Austin, Louise Dunbar, Steve Reynolds, and Robert Stewart. Note that this is a "lost" film which means that no surviving copies are thought to exist.
If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know.
Important Added Info: This six-sheet was printed in 6 sections and it is folded.

Condition: very good to fine. The poster has creases and tiny tears along many foldlines. There is some tiny paper loss at some crossfolds and some extremely tiny paper loss on small parts of some foldlines (mostly in the part of the poster that was on the outside when the poster was fully folded, which is the small piece in the top left corner of the image). The poster is in much better condition than the above makes it sounds! It is virtually entirely "all there", and it really has survived the past almost 90 years in about as good condition as one could possibly imagine! After a simple linenbacking by any talented professional, this magnificent poster will look incredible, and there will truly be virtually no restoration anywhere on the poster!

There is a good chance that this poster was never used, or was only used one time. The poster has survived in nice condition, but has a few VERY minor imperfections, typical of this type of poster, and typical of the defects caused by handling the posters, and the aging of the paper over many years. We may have written just a few words about those imperfections, but we may not have, as they are very minor. You should look at our "super-sized" image of the actual poster, which will confirm just how few defects this poster has!
