An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked French Movie Poster (measures 22 1/4" x 31 1/2") (Learn More) Le Mepris (released in English-speaking countries as "Contempt"), the 1963 (released in the U.S. in 1964) Jean-Luc Godard French/Italian movie-making romantic love triangle melodrama ("Bardot is the body beautiful... she knows it... and she shows it!"; "Based on the novel by Alberto Moravia"; a very complex story about a screenwriter who is assigned by his producer to make a screenplay of "The Odyssey" more commercial, and he has a beautiful young wife who believes he wants her to sleep with the producer to help his career) starring Brigitte Bardot, Jack Palance, Michel Piccoli, Fritz Lang, and Giorgia Moll. Note that the director of the movie-within-the-movie is identified as Fritz Lang, and the legendary director plays himself! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Also note that this French poster measures 22 1/4" x 31 1/2" and is linenbacked. Condition: very good. The poster had some light stains in the center of the poster to the left and right of the crossfold (mostly above the crossfold. There was a tear 1" tear in the poster just above the "M" of "MEPRIS" and some minor fold and border wear. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking.
