Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked Swedish Movie Poster (measures approximately 27" x 39") (Learn More) Nara Livet (released in the U.S. as "Brink of Life"), the 1958 Ingmar Bergman Swedish family relationship romantic melodrama ("Unprecedented Cannes Film Festival Awards Winner") starring Eva Dahlbeck, Ingrid Thulin, Bibi Andersson, Barbro Hiort af Ornas, and Max von Sydow NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: This Swedish poster measures approximately 27" x 39" and is linenbacked. Also note that this is a rare "country of origin" poster for this Swedish movie! Condition: very good. This poster was linenbacked, and one of the following is true: either the poster had very minor defects, and was well backed, OR it had more significant defects, but they were well restored, OR it had some minor defects that were not completely restored, and are somewhat noticeable. You can tell which of the above is the case for this particular poster by reading our "pre-restoration" description and also by looking at our "super-sized" image of the actual poster (we are the only major auction company we know of that gives accurate detailed pre-restoration information about linenbacked posters to our bidders, but we wish everyone did!). The poster had a 6" tear starting in the lower right of the inset photo image and extending into the eyebrow of the woman at bottom center. There were some tiny tears and tiny dot areas of paper loss across the bottom foldline and some minor wear on the other foldlines. There were some tears and smudges around the edges of the poster. The left border was slightly tattered down the black area. The poster was quite nicely linenbacked, and the above defects were well corrected, and the poster looks great!
