An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Jumbo Lobby Card (LC; measures 14" x 17 1/4" [36 x 44 cm]) (Learn More) Claire Trevor was an actress from the 1930s to the 1980s. Some of her movies include: Key Largo (winner of the Best Supporting Actress Academy Award for this film), Stagecoach, Murder, My Sweet, High and The Mighty (nominated for the Best Supporting Actress Academy Award for this film), Dead End (nominated for the Best Supporting Actress Academy Award for this film), How to Murder Your Wife, and Born to Kill. She passed away in 2000 at the age of 90. Artist: Alberto Vargas Important Added Info: Note that in the early 1930s, Fox Films hired noted pinup artist Alberto Vargas to create a series of portraits of their top stars! We once auctioned a set of seven of these, and there might have been more created, but those seven are the only ones we have ever seen until now, when we were consigned another example of the Claire Trevor portrait from this set. We know that it dates from between 1930 and 1935, because those were the years when the studio was known as Fox Films, and it seems likely that these date from around 1934, based on the stars chosen. If anyone knows more about these portraits, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Condition: very good. There are some scuffs around the edges with very tiny paper loss in the bottom right corner and a few very tiny tears. Learn More about condition grades
