Flash Gordon is the fictional comic strip superhero created by cartoonist Alex Raymond in a newspaper strip in 1934. There were three incredibly successful movies starring Buster Crabbe in the title role in 1936, 1938, and 1940, Flash Gordon, Flash Gordon's Trip to Mars, and Flash Gordon Conquers the Universe. The character became widely known and has been used in a wide variety of media, including motion pictures, serials, television, and animated series.
