An Original Vintage Theatrical Autographed 8" x 9 3/4" [20 x 25 cm] Movie Still (Learn More) Paul Lukas was an Austro-Hungarian actor from the 1910s to the 1970s. He was born in 1891, and became an actor in 1918 in Austria, and he made movies there for nearly ten years before moving to Hollywood in 1927. He achieved his greatest success in his 40s, winning the Academy Award in 1943 for "Watch on the Rhine". In his later years, he began appearing on the stage in New York City, making fewer and fewer movie and TV appearances. He passed away in 1971 at the age of 80. Important Added Info: Note that this still has been personally autographed (signed) by Paul Lukas! Our consignor purchased this signed item from the estate of a major autograph collector, and while he does not have a certificate of authenticity, both he and we are certain the autograph is authentic. Also note that this still has been trimmed and it now measures 8" x 9 3/4" [20 x 25 cm]. As is true of all the signed items we are currently auctioning, we give every buyer 30 days in which to review what they purchased and they can return any item as long as it is within 30 days of the end of the auction. On non-signed items, we give a "lifetime guarantee" on everything we auction, but on signed items, we give the above modified guarantee of 30 days after the auction closes. Condition: fair.
