the 1970s Australian double-bill release (held at the Sydney Opera House Cinema from June 11th to July 1st) of Jazz on a Summer's Day, the 1959 Bert Stern jazz musical documentary ("... love on a summer's night"; "Their songs and music set the magical mood"; "in vibrant color and living sound"; "Theirs songs and music set a magical mood") featuring Louis Armstrong, Mahalia Jackson, Gerry Mulligan (best jazz saxophone player of his era who appeared in four movies, playing a saxophone!), Dinah Washington, George Shearing, Chico Hamilton, Anita O'Day, Jack Teagarden, Thelonious Monk, Sonny Stitt, Chuck Berry, Big Maybelle, and Miles Davis AND Woody Allen: An American Comedy, the 1977 Harold Mantell documentary (where Allen discusses his career, with excerpts from some of his most popular movies!) featuring Woody Allen.
