An Original Vintage Autographed German Film Program (program measures 7 1/4" x 10 1/2" [18 x 27 cm]; measures 8 1/2" x 11 1/2" with backing) (Learn More) Randolph Scott was an actor from the 1930s to the 1960s (although he had some uncredited roles in the very late 1920s). He played a wide variety of roles in the 1930s, but later in his career starred mostly in cowboy western movies. He had a very memorable final role in Ride the High Country, opposite Joel McCrea! Some of his other movies include: Seven Men From now, My Favorite Wife, The Tall T, and Ride Lonesome. Most people believe that he was a gay man, but because of the attitudes of the time, he had to "remain in the closet" (and there are some who dispute that he was gay; he was married twice, and had two adopted children, but also lived with Cary Grant for twelve years!). Scott passed away in 1987 at the age of 89. Important Added Info: Note that this item has been personally autographed (signed) by Randolph Scott! Our consignor is a longtime German dealer who purchased this from a collector who said he obtained the autograph when the movie premiered in Germany, but he has no certificate of authenticity, so we ask anyone bidding on it to thoroughly compare this signature to ones known to be signed by Scott BEFORE placing a bid (but bear in mind that the buyer will have 30 days after the auction to get the signature authenticated, and they can return it for a full refund within that 30 days). Condition: good to very good. The program had two punch holes at the spine and was folded across the middle. Someone simply glued the back cover to a 8 1/2" x 11 1/2" stiff backing sheet and did no restoration (see our image). You can open the cover of the program to see the two interior pages, but of course, the back cover is no longer visible, because it is glued to the backing sheet. Learn More about condition grades
