Date Sold 9/1/2024 Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. a lot of 6 folded one-sheets from The Subterraneans, the 1960 Ranald MacDougall teen beatnik counter-culture romantic melodrama ("Love among the new Bohemians!"; "Based on the novel by Jack Kerouac") starring Leslie Caron (as Mardou Fox), George Peppard (as Leo Percepied), Janice Rule, Roddy McDowall, Gerry Mulligan (best jazz saxophone player of his era who appeared in four movies, playing a saxophone!), Carmen McRae, and Andre Previn. Note that in the novel, Mardou was black, however for the movie version she was made French! IMPORTANT! The lot contains multiple examples of the same poster, so we have only pictured one, but the winner of this auction receives all of them! Condition: good to very good. Each poster has a Canadian censor stamp but is otherwise in pretty nice condition. We have only pictured one of the posters, but all of them are in similar condition.
