We believe these are from when the Chan films were re-released to TV in the 1970s. They made high quality re-release stills that look exactly like the originals, and they are often mistakenly sold as originals. Charlie Chan is a fictional Chinese-American detective created by Earl Derr Biggers. Over four dozen films featuring Charlie Chan have been made. At first, the character was portrayed by Asian actors but in 1931, Fox cast Swedish actor Warner Oland as Chan. After Oland's death, American actor Sidney Toler was cast as Chan followed by Roland Winters. Condition: very good. One of the stills is glued to a backing board. The others are in nice condition!
