An Original Vintage Theatrical Tri-Folded Twenty-Four-Sheet Movie Poster (24sh; measures approximately 9' x 20') (Learn More) Becket, the 1964 Peter Glenville (nominated for the Best Director Academy Award for this film) English/U.S. medieval royalty melodrama ("Once again the screen explodes with rage, passion and greatness!"; "A taste for wine and women made them friends. A sudden clash made them man and martyr... which led to murder"; "The two most exciting stars of our time"; "A spectacular story of conflict and conspiracy... murder and madness... revelry and revenge... love and hate that changed the course of human history!"; "Based on the play 'Becket' by Jean Anouilh"; "Screenplay by Edward Anhalt"; nominated for the Best Picture Academy Award) starring Richard Burton (nominated for the Best Actor Academy Award for this film; in the title role "as Becket"), Peter O'Toole (nominated for the Best Actor Academy Award for this film; "as His King"; as King Henry II), John Gielgud (nominated for the Best Supporting Actor Academy Award for this film), Donald Wolfit, Martita Hunt, Pamela Brown, and Felix Aylmer NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this twenty-four sheet was printed in 14 sections designed to overlap. Also note this 24-sheet poster was folded in a way that makes it resemble a tri-folded six-sheet (only much larger, of course, as there are more sections). But the length and width of the folded 24-sheet is just about the same as that of a folded six-sheet or three-sheet. This means that this 24-sheet needs to be sent in an oversized flat package, which will measure roughly 16" x 38", and approximately 2" high, and it will cost more to send than a regular sized package. Condition: very good. There are some creases and several tears along the foldlines that were on the outside when the poster was fully folded. There are some creases, smudges, and tiny tears on the other foldlines, and some tiny paper loss at some crossfolds. Please look at our super-sized image to get a sense of the exact condition of this poster. Learn More about condition grades
