Batgirl is the name of several fictional superheroes appearing in comic books published by DC Comics, depicted as female counterparts to the superhero Batman. Although the character Betty Kane was introduced into publication in 1961 by Bill Finger and Sheldon Moldoff as Bat-Girl, she was replaced by Barbara Gordon in 1967, who later came to be identified as the iconic Batgirl. The character's first adaptation outside of comic books took place in the third season of Batman when she was portrayed by Yvonne Craig.
Important Added Info: Note that this item has been hand-numbered 27/50. It has an interesting story to it! In 1990, a pair of dealers named Robert and Zachary White had an original Batgirl costume from the TV show that Yvonne Craig wore, and it needed restoration, and during the restoration, they had some leftover material. They cut that leftover material into 50 small pieces, and then sold them, each attached to a sheet of paper explaining where it came from, and the paper was hand signed by both dealers and is actually hand notarized by a notary republic! Our consignor bought this in 1990 from those dealers and has had it ever since, until he has now consigned it to us, and the new owner will have an actual piece (a small piece!) of an actual Yvonne Craig Batgirl outfit!

Condition: very good.
