A 1938 Re-Release Theatrical 7 3/4" x 9 1/2" [20 x 24 cm] Movie Still (Learn More) Dracula, the classic 1931 Tod Browning Universal vampire monster horror thriller ("The Greatest of all Horror Thrillers"; "The Vampire Thriller!"; "The story of the strangest passion the world has ever known!"; "Do vampires really exist?"; "From the famous novel & play by Bram Stoker") starring Bela Lugosi (in the title role as Count Dracula), David Manners, Helen Chandler, Dwight Frye (if there had been a Best Supporting Actor Academy Award in 1931, Frye would have surely won it for his wild over-the-top portrayal as Renfield!), Edward Van Sloan (as Professor Abraham Van Helsing), Frances Dade, and Herbert Bunston NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that this conceivably COULD be from 1931, but the movie was released in 1938, and there are two different 1938 stamps on the back, plus a newspaper clipping referring to the double bill with Frankenstein from 1938. It could be a 1931 still that was reused seven years later, but we think it is more likely it is from 1938. Also note that this still has been trimmed and it now measures 7 3/4" x 9 1/2" [20 x 24 cm]. Condition: fair. The still was used in a newspaper or magazine and there are crop marks around the edges and paint enhancements within the image (so it would show up better in the printed article). The still was slightly trimmed in the right and top blank borders. Learn More about condition grades
