Rex Beach's The Barrier, the 1937 Edward Ludwig & Lesley Selander Alaska Gold Rush Native American Indian romantic love triangle interracial romance adventure melodrama ("Based on the novel by Rex Beach") starring Leo Carrillo, Jean Parker, James Ellison, Otto Kruger, Robert Barrat, Andy Clyde, Addison Richards, and Sara Haden. Note that the movie has James Ellison falling in love with a "half-breed" Eskimo girl (referred to as an "Indian" in the movie advertising), played by Jean Parker.
