Date Sold 9/20/2009Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. An Autographed Reproduction 8" x 10" (8x10) Still (Learn More) Roy Orbison was an early legendary rock 'n' roll (rock and roll) singer (with a three octave range and one of the greatest falsettos ever!) who achieved major success with such songs as "Crying" and "Oh, Pretty Woman". In the 1980s, he performed with Bob Dylan, George Harrison, Jeff Lynne, and Tom Petty in the "Travelling Willburys", and he recorded a duet of "Crying" with K.D. Lang. He passed away in 1988 at the age of 52 from a heart attack. Important Added Info: Note that this still has been personally autographed (signed) by Roy Orbison! Also note that many stars kept multiple 8" x 10" copies of good publicity images of themselves to sign for fans, and also many memorabilia shops sold such copy stills themselves. While they are not original stills, they are usually excellent clear copies, with a great shot of the star in their heyday, which, when signed by the star, makes for a wonderful framed picture on any fan's wall! In the case of this particular reproduction still, it was likely created in the 1970s or 1980s, and at the time that our consignor acquired the signature on it. Condition: very good to fine. The still was attached to a mat with a piece of double-stick tape on the back of the top border, and that tape is still there, but it does not affect the front, and otherwise, the still is in nice condition!
