An Original Vintage Theatrical Autographed Deluxe 8" x 10" [20 x 25 cm] Movie Still (Learn More)

Richard Nixon was a politician from the 1940s to the 1970s, and was the 37th President of the United States from 1969 to 1974. His second term was marred by the Watergate scandal, and facing almost certain impeachment and removal from office, he became the first American president to resign (he was later pardoned for any crimes by President Ford). He was later the subject of the movies Nixon and more recently Frost/Nixon. Nixon passed away in 1994 at the age of 81.
Important Added Info: Note that this still appears to have been personally autographed (signed) by Richard Nixon! Obviously, if this signature is authentic, then it is from when Mr. Nixon was extremely young. The still is clearly quite old and appears to be from the 1940s, and it was found together with stills from the 1940s. But IS the signature Richard Nixon's? We found an example of a signed photo of him on the Internet when he was very young where he wrote "Dick", but on all the later photos, he wrote "Richard". WE MAKE NO GUARANTEE WHATSOEVER ON THIS PHOTO! The buyer cannot return it for any reason, so do not bid on this photo unless you can accept the uncertainty of whether or not it is truly Mr. Nixon's signature. Also note that this is a deluxe still printed on double weight paper stock.

Note that this still is from the collection of Robert J. Fieth. He was born in 1923, and as a teenager, he began writing to celebrities in the 1940s, and continued to do so over several decades, acquiring a collection of over 500 autographed photos (many of which are personalized to him, either as "To Robert J. Fieth", or "To Robert", or "To Bob"). We have been consigned a number of signed photos from this collection, the majority of which were obtained in the 1940s or 1950s!

Condition: very good.
