Goat Alley, the 1927 Egon Brecher Broadway stage play production (of the play written by Ernest Howard Culbertson, starring all black African American actors) starring Evelyn Ellis, Edward Thompson, Baron Bryan, A. B. Comathiere, and Jack Carter. Note that Evelyn Ellis was primarily a stage actress who had a decades long career. She only appeared in a small number of movies, usually in stereotypical roles given to black actors and actresses during those times
