Artist: Joann Daley Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good. The poster had fine surface paper loss on parts of some foldlines (typical of high-gloss posters of this period). It also had two tears in the top right corner that extended into the black background, with small paper loss in the black background to the left of that. It had some creases and scuffs around the edges. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, but you can see signs of the above defects and the restoration of the above defects. After it was backed, it came into contact with moisture, which caused rippling in the top left, and tiny brown stains in the top left white border area. Learn More about condition grades
