If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that we have seen several references to these posters on the Internet, and they all say that they are from the 1950s and that you would purchase them by sending 35 cents and two Wheaties box tops to receive these by mail! The only writing on them is a tiny "A11640 c TLR Printed in U.S.A." on the Lone Ranger, and "A11641 c TLR Printed in U.S.A." on the Tonto. In this auction, we are offering both the Lone Ranger and Tonto posters. In 2014, we auctioned two sets of these (like the set offered here), and we also auctioned a single example of the Lone Ranger poster, but other than those 2014 sales, we have never auctioned either one of these posters, and one of the sets we auctioned in 2014 auctioned for $2,700! What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. Both posters had some paper loss at some crossfolds and some creases, tears, and small paper loss on parts of the folds, with some smudges in the white background areas (see our images). Both posters were backed with only minor restoration. Both of them can certainly be displayed and enjoyed as they are, but please take a good look at our super-sized images to see exactly what condition these posters are in prior to placing bids on them.
