Barrie's Play", and of course he was also the author of Peter Pan!; set in 1840s Scotland, it concerns a young minister assigned to a new parish; he meets an exotic gypsy girl who leads him astray) starring Betty Compson (as Lady Babbie), George Hackathorne (in the title role as Gavin), Edwin Stevens, Nigel Barrie, and Will Walling. Note that this was one of several silent versions based on this play. It was remade in 1934 with Katharine Hepburn in the lead role. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography.
