Famous Monsters of Filmland was a horror film magazine from 1958 to 1983 (and revived in 1993 and 2008). It was published by Jim Warren and edited by Forrest J. Ackerman, and was the introduction to classic monster movies for a huge number of collectors and fans, including many who went on to become famous names in the movie business! Each issue had full-color covers and heavily illustrated black & white stories inside. The magazine was so popular that multiple conventions have taken place, featuring Forrest J. Ackerman and famous guests!

Important Added Info: Note that this is the original manuscript for the article called "Alien Viewpoints" that appeared in the November 1979 issue of Famous Monsters of Filmland (#159). It is on 24 typewritten pages, with extensive revisions throughout, both in blue pen and in red marker! Also included is an issue of the actual printed magazine. Note that we have provided a picture of the first page and one interior page of the manuscript, plus the front cover of the magazine, and pictures of interior two-page spreads (including the table of contents page).

Condition: very good. The manuscript has many revisions (as noted above). The magazine has creases and scuffs on the covers, and some wear from being read.
