Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: very good. The poster had darkened somewhat. It had a 4" tear in the top border with a tape stain in the top of it, and some water stains, pinholes, and tape stains in the borders. It had tiny paper loss at some crossfolds and some tiny tears on small parts of some borders. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking. The restorer backed the poster "in the European style", meaning that they did not do restoration to the defects described above, but they are really not very distracting, because they are primarily in the blank borders.
