Albert Einstein was a German theoretical physicist who developed the general theory of relativity. He may be best known for his mass-energy equivalence formula "e = mc2" and he received the 1921 Nobel Prize in Physics. He was visiting the United States when Adolf Hitler came to power in 1933 and choose not to go back to Germany. Einstein published more than 300 scientific papers and his great intellectual achievements and originality have made the word "Einstein" synonymous with genius. He passed away in 1955 at the age of 76.

Important Added Info: Note that this wonderful news photo shows the legendary physicist and his wife saying farewell to California on February 27, 1931, as he prepares to go to New York in a private railroad car from Pasadena Railway Station.

Condition: good to very good. The news photo is lightly rippled around the edges, but it is mostly only noticeable when the photo is tilted to the light
