An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Card (11x14; LC; measures 11" x 14") (Learn More) The Beggar of Cawnpore, the 1916 Charles Swickard silent India Sepy Rebellion drug additiction medical doctor romantic love triangle melodrama (produced by Thomas Ince; about an English doctor stationed in India who becomes a morphine addict and loses his fiance to another man, and he becomes a beggar on the streets of India, but when the Sepoy Rebellion begins, he pulls himself together and rescues his girl, whose husband has been killed in the Rebellion) starring H.B. Warner, Lola May, Wyndham Standing, Alfred Hollingsworth, and Harold Entwistle NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that there is an extreme mystery about this card! It has "H.B. Warner with Bessie Love" at the bottom of the card, and yet she does not appear in the card, and at the most was only an extra in the movie! It seems quite possible that this card is from an early (1916 or 1917) re-release of the movie, and that she was given star billing on the cards because she had become famous in the meantime, but we really don't know.
