The Bad and the Beautiful, the classic 1953 Vincente Minnelli behind-the-scenes-in-Hollywood California expose romantic betrayal melodrama ("The picture that's headed for the '10 Best' lists!"; "Based on a story by George Bradshaw"; "Screen Play by Charles Schnee"; very loosely based on the life of Val Lewton, and produced by John Houseman) starring Lana Turner, Kirk Douglas (nominated for the Best Actor Academy Award for this film), Walter Pidgeon, Dick Powell, Barry Sullivan, Gloria Grahame (winner of the Best Supporting Actress Academy Award for this film), Gilbert Roland, Leo G. Carroll, Vanessa Brown, Elaine Stewart, Francis X. Bushman, and Paul Stewart. Note that this movie won five Academy Awards and many people consider it one of the finest movies about making movies ever made!

Important Added Info: Note that this window card was folded in half, and because it was folded perfectly in half, it can be sent in one of our standard size mailers. If it is purchased by itself (or solely with other posters that can be sent in standard size mailers), it will be sent that way. But if it is purchased with posters that need to be sent in oversized mailers, then we will of course send it that way.

Condition: good. There are rough creases across the center of the image, a nail hole in the right of Douglas' head, and a tack hole slightly below his chin. There are two long pieces of brown paper tape on the back of the right border, but they were not put there for a restoration purpose.
