Merrill's Marauders, the 1962 Samuel Fuller World War II (WWII) military melodrama ("Never have men fought so long and so hard and so gloriously to victory!"; "True story! Incredible story! Their own doctor said they were through - and then they came up off the ground to batter their way to glory across 500 jungle miles of terror behind the enemy lines!"; "So you've killed a lot and you've bled a lot and your guts are wracked and your nerves are mauled and an inch is a mile and an hour is forever.... Man, your war has just begun - you're one of Merrill's Marauders"; "How they fought those last 500 miles will remain forever in your memory!"; "The men who 'couldn't' go on -- the mission that 'couldn't' be done -- the picture that can't be forgotten!"; "From the book by Charlton Ogburn, Jr.") starring Jeff Chandler (in the title role as Brigadier General Frank D. Merrill; in his final movie role), Ty Hardin, Peter Brown, Will Hutchins, Andrew Duggan, and Claude Akins. Note that Chandler injured his back while making this film, and later died during an operation to repair the damage (his death was later determined to be a result of medical malpractice). He was 42 years old.

Important Added Info: Note that these stills appear in every way to be original U.S. release EXCEPT that there is one very tiny line of French type in the lower right of each still. It reads, "IMPRIME AUX ETATS-UNIS D'AMERIQUE". A collector has told us that he believes this means the stills were printed for use in areas that included French-speaking parts of Canada, but that they WERE printed in the U.S., and that makes complete sense to us (and we have seen this on stills from the 1940s through the early 2000s, so it has certainly been done for an extremely long time)! So they are original stills from 1962, but they were printed partially for use in French-speaking Canada. If anyone knows more about this, please e-mail us and we will post it here.

Condition: very good to fine. The stills are in nice condition!
