An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41") (Learn More) Shakedown, the 1936 David Selman romantic murder mystery kidnapping crime thriller ("They won't pay... Or shut up!"; "Ripped Red-Hot form the Headlines!"; about a poor young man in love with a rich beautiful woman; he wants her to wait to marry him until he has money, and she doesn't want to wait, then she is kidnapped and a ransom is demanded!) starring Lew Ayres, Joan Perry, Thurston Hall, Victor Kilian, and Henry Mollison. Note that Joan Perry had been a former model who was discovered by Columbia head Harry Cohn. He put her in a bunch of movies, and then married her, and in 1941, she retired. The poster had an extra vertical foldline 1" to the left of the regular vertical foldline and there was tiny paper loss at both crossfold areas of each horizontal fold. There were a few tiny tears and tiny paper loss on parts of some foldlines and some tears and tiny areas of paper loss in the borders. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was nicely backed, and displays well! Learn More about condition grades
