An Original Vintage Linenbacked French World War II Poster (measures 31 1/2" x 47" [80 x 119 cm]) (Learn More) L'action Combattante (literally translates to "Combat Action"), the 1935 French poster produced by the U.N.C. organization. The Union Nationale des Combattants was a political and community action group primarily made up of French combat veterans. This poster was encouraging citizens to focus on civic improvement instead of negative aspects such as scandals and corruption, and features Leonetto Cappiello art of a U.N.C. member kicking the negative aspects into a hole. Artist: Leonetto Cappiello Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster had minor wear on the foldlines and in the borders. It had many smudges and scuffs scattered throughout. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking.
