Reeves Eason cowboy western serial ("With an All-Star Cast"; "A Mascot Serial In Twelve Smashing, Action-Loaded Chapters") starring Ken Maynard (billed as "The mightiest of western stars"), Tarzan (billed as "with his Wonder Horse 'Tarzan'"), Verna Hillie, Syd Saylor, Smiley Burnette (uncredited in his third movie role!), Bob Kortman, and Gene Autry (uncredited in his second movie role, just before he became famous) NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that we have only previously auctioned two examples of this chapter 1 one-sheet; one was 13 years ago which sold for $1,113, and the other was 22 years ago, in a bulk lot of one-sheets and lobby cards from this serial, which sold for $5,520)! In the late 1930s, Nat Levine re-released this serial, and a two-color version of this poster was printed. But because that two-color poster is undated, it has often been mistakenly sold as a 1934 poster, but it is actually a late 1930s re-release. This original full-color version is virtually never offered for sale! What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster had small paper loss at the middle crossfold, with a 1" vertical tear to the right of it. It had a few tiny bits of paper loss on small parts of some folds. It had pinholes, small tears, and some tiny paper loss around the edges. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, but the restorer painted over most of the blank borders, to "even them out". Learn More about condition grades
