Date Sold 10/26/2021 Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. 3 Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Cards (LCs; measure 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More) Boy of Mine, the 1923 William Beaudine silent family relationship melodrama (based on the story 'The Misunderstood' by Booth Tarkington; about a banker who is too strict with his nine year old son, and his wife sides with the boy, and they leave the banker for a while, which causes him to mend his ways) starring Ben Alexander, Rockliffe Fellowes, Henry B. Walthall, Irene Rich, Dot Farley, Lawrence Licalzi (in the starring role as the nine year old son of the banker), and Eugene Jackson. This movie included black African American Eugene Jackson in one of his very first uncredited roles; soon after this movie, he was hired by Hal Roach, to become one of the Our Gang members, and he played "Pineapple" (Farina's older brother) in six of the Our Gang shorts. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that we have never before auctioned lobby cards for this movie! Note also that this group of silent lobby cards is one of many that were consigned to us by a very long time collector. Almost all of the groups were in surprisingly nice condition, but not surprisingly, many of them had smudges or stains in the blank borders, with a few pinholes or small tears. The collector approached a restorer, and asked that all the cards have touch up performed on the fronts of the cards in the borders (as needed), but that none of them be backed in any way. You can tell that the cards have had some border restoration (some of it is more "felt" than seen), but they will display really well on the new owner's walls (or in albums). And many of these cards are from EXTREMELY rare titles! Condition: very good.
