An Original Vintage Theatrical Color 8" x 10" [20 x 25 cm] Movie Still (Learn More) Mother Wore Tights, the 1947 Walter Lang romantic family relationship musical ("Dad's in lights, mother's in tights!... and it's Wonderful!"; "Based on the book by Miriam Young"; "Dances staged by Seymour Felix & Kenny Williams"; about a young woman who wants to go to business school, but she ends up in vaudeville, and the star of the show starts an act with her, and they marry and have two children, and she retires, but years later, her husband convinces her to come out of retirement, which causes a problem for one of their daughters) starring Betty Grable, Dan Dailey, Mona Freeman, Connie Marshall, Vanessa Brown, Robert Arthur, Sara Allgood, William Frawley, Ruth Nelson, and Anabel Shaw NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that this great still of Betty Grable has a wonderful provenance! It was consigned to us by the granddaughter of the lady who ran the Betty Grable fan club in the 1950s, and she developed a close friendship with Ms. Grable, and she was given a large number of first release stills (some personally autographed), and we are auctioning several of this consignor's Betty Grable stills in this set of auctions. Condition: good to very good. There are creases and scuffs scattered throughout the still, but they are mostly only noticeable when the still is tilted to the light, and there are some faint smudges and slight darkening around the edges.
