The festival has been celebrated annually in February since 1978, and with around 300,000 tickets sold and 500,000 admissions, it is considered the largest publicly attended film festival worldwide based on actual attendance rates. Up to 400 films are shown in several sections, with around twenty films competing for the awards called the Golden and Silver Bears. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that we have auctioned other posters from other years of this film festival, but we have never before auctioned this 1962 poster. Apparently the organizers of the festival REALLY liked this specific image, because they had earlier used it in 1955, and used it again in 1964, while other years had other images (but we have not seen many from the early years of this festival).
