An Original Vintage Autographed Contract (measures 8 1/2" x 11"; 10 single-sided pages) (Learn More) Roy Rogers (born Leonard Slye, often referred to as the "King of the Cowboys") is considered one of the all-time top singing cowboy western actors (he started in movies in the 1930s and worked in film until the 1950s, often with The Sons of the Pioneers, and comedy sidekicks including Gabby Hayes and Andy Devine; in 1951, he transitioned to television and had a very successful TV show for six seasons) and was nearly always accompanied by his equally famous horse, Trigger. He had many female co-stars until he starred with Dale Evans, and they married, and remained married for over 50 years! He passed away in 1998 at the age of 86. Important Added Info: This contract (dated December 30th, 1954) is between Roy Rogers Productions and Samuel Goldwyn. The contract lays out the costs and agreements for Roy Rogers' teleplays to be filmed during a 45 day period starting January 11, 1955. It has been signed by the Vice President of Samuel Goldwyn (we can't deciper the person's name) and Roy Rogers. This contract has 10 single-sided pages. Condition: fine. The 10 pages of the contract are in quite nice condition! There are two pairs of staple holes in the top blank corners of each page.
