An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Glass Slide (measures approximately 3" x 4") (Learn More)

She Shall Have Music, the 1935 Leslie S. Hiscott English romantic Big Band musical comedy ("9 Song Hits") starring Jack Hylton & His Famous International Band, June Clyde, Claude Dampier, Bryan Lawrence, and Gwen Farrar. Note that Jack Hylton was the number one Big Band leader in England in the 1930s, and while the movie had a plot involving Hylton doing a radio broadcast from a luxury liner, the movie was really just an excuse to show Hylton and his band, plus the top English performers of that time. The female lead was June Clyde, who was actually American, but who spent most of her career in England.

Important Added Info: Glass slides were designed to be put in a special projector that would project the image onto a movie screen (they use exactly the same concept as 35mm slides). We have taken a digital photo of each that shows the general condition of the overall slide and holder, and we have also made a digital scan that shows the glass image well, but does not show the holder (except as a dark outline).

Condition: very good. The slide does not have a cardboard holder, but rather there is black tape around all four edges (front and back), typical of older glass slides. When we auction slides that have a cardboard holder, we provide a separate image of how the cardboard holder looks, but when we auction slides with the black tape (like this one) we only provide the scan of the glass slide image, because that really is about all there is to see.
