An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Card (LC; measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More)

Taxi!, the 1932 Roy Del Ruth New York City taxi driver romantic crime melodrama ("Our hats off to James Cagney for another marvelous characterization in 'Taxi!'"; adapted from the play by Kenyon Nicholson; "Adaptation and Dialogue by Kubec Glamson & John Bright"; Cagney is an independent cab driver, and a mob controlled large company wants to push all the independents out of business, and Cagney seeks revenge after they kill his brother; his beautiful girlfriend is played by young and sexy Loretta Young) starring James Cagney, Loretta Young, George E. Stone, Guy Kibbee, Leila Bennett, and Dorothy Burgess. Note that this is the movie that includes the famous scene where taxi driver Cagney speaks Yiddish to a Jewish customer (although Irish, Cagney had grown up on the streets of New York, and he could speak fluent Yiddish)!
NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography.
Important Added Info: Note that this scene card not only has a wonderful close up of James Cagney, but it is also the classic scene described above, where cab driver Cagney speaks Yiddish to his Jewish customer!

Note that ANY movie paper items from this movie are incredibly rare. We have only previously auctioned a window card, a title card (17 years ago), and some stills from this movie (and NO other movie paper) until we received this wonderful scene lobby card!
Also note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has.

Condition: very good to fine. The card has faint smudges in parts of the blank borders, and some scuffs in the bottom right of Cagney's jacket. It has some faint creases in the bottom left corner of the image (they are not very noticeable from the front, but you can see them when you look at the back). Otherwise, the card is in nice condition. Note that this lobby card is completely unrestored and there is not a single piece of tape on either the front or back!
