Original Vintage Theatrical Lobby Card #7 (measures 11" x 14") (Learn More) Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein (released in other English-speaking countries as "Abbott and Costello Meet the Ghosts"), the 1948 Charles T. Barton monster horror spoof comedy ("It's a grand New idea for Fun!"; the eighth Universal Frankenstein movie, and this time they added their #1 comedy team to both liven up the series, and to inject comedy; many people fondly remember this as their favorite of the 1940s Frankenstein movies!; "Jeepers! The Creepers are after Bud and Lou!"; "The laughs are MONSTERous! Bud and Lou are in a stew when they tangle with the Titans of Terror!"; "The monsters of menace vs the masters of Mirth!") starring Bud Abbott, Lou Costello (Abbott and Costello), Lon Chaney Jr. ("The Wolf Man played by Lon Chaney"), Bela Lugosi (returning as Dracula after being long absent from the role; "Dracula played by Bela Lugosi"), Glenn Strange (in the title role, playing the Frankenstein monster; "The Monster played by Glenn Strange"), Lenore Aubert, Jane Randolph, Frank Ferguson, Charles Bradstreet, and Vincent Price (in a cute cameo, as the voice of The Invisible Man at the end of the movie!) NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Condition: very good. The left 3" of the card were folded back at one time. There is a 3/4" tear in the center of the left border (slightly extending into the image background). There are many tack holes and creases in the borders (some extend into the image background). There is a small crease in each corner. It sounds like this card has several problems, but actually other than the crease, they are mostly in the borders, and would not be noticed if the card were framed. I would think many collectors could frame this card as is and be quite happy with it, or a good restorer could repair and restore its defects, and it would look wonderful. Please do not bid on this card unless you can accept its defects or are willing to have it restored! Learn More about condition grades
