An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Mexican Movie Poster (measures 27" x 37" [69 x 94 cm]) (Learn More) El Vagabundo (literally translates to "The Wanderer"), the 1953 (released in the U.S. in 1954) Rogelio A. Gonzalez & Gilberto Martinez Solares Mexican circus comedy (about a hobo's good deeds getting him in trouble, and eventually, he's in a zoo park within a circus!) starring German Valdes (billed as "Tin-Tan"; in the title role as La Chiva), Aurora Segura, Leonor Llausas, Wolf Ruvinskis, and Marcelo Chavez Artist: Ernesto Garcia Cabral Important Added Info: Note that this is an extremely rare poster. We have only auctioned three in all our years of auctioning and the last time was in 2015! Note also that this is a "country of origin" poster for this Mexican movie! Condition: good. This Mexican poster is somewhat fragile. Mexican posters were printed on a paper stock that often ages very poorly, and also darkens. This poster has darkened somewhat and it has MANY pinholes around the edges and along portions of the horizontal folds and vertical foldline (especially at center). Some of the pinholes in the center left horizontal folds have a vertical tear in between them. There are also several tiny circular areas of paper loss scattered near the pinholes at top and bottom and in the ends of some folds (as well as a few other tiny areas - see our image). Certainly the poster has defects, but it is otherwise "all there" and after linenbacking with some proper restoration the very rare poster will display well (but of course bear in mind the poster's condition and the cost of restoration before bidding on it).
