An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded One-Sheet Movie Poster (measures 27" x 41") (Learn More) Ride Him, Cowboy, the 1932 Fred Allen wild horse cowboy western (about a cowboy who finds a horse that was accused of killing a man, and is called "The Devil Horse", and he is able to get the horse a pardon, and he trains it and later finds out that it was innocent of the murder, which had actually been done by one of the town's leading citizens and blamed on the horse) starring John Wayne, Duke ("His Devil Horse"), Ruth Hall, Henry B. Walthall, Harry Gribbon, Otis Harlan, Frank Hagney, and Glenn Strange. Note that this was the very first appearance of "Duke", the horse. Not only would he become John Wayne's horse in his six Vitagraph westerns, but over time, his name would become John Wayne's nickname, which stayed with him the rest of his life! Condition: very good to fine. tiny pinhole in John Wayne's shirt (1" above the "d" of "Ride"); tiny paper loss at the crossfolds; tiny paper loss in the left of the top blank border; tiny area of surface paper loss in the upper middle of the vertical foldline (in the horse's chest); tiny pinholes around the edges of the poster; a tiny hole 1/2" above the middle crossfold. Other than the above extremely minor defects, the poster is really in excellent condition, and there is no tape anywhere on it. I would be surprised if there were a better surviving example of this poster! Learn More about condition grades
