An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Glass Slide (measures approximately 3" x 4") (Learn More) Dinty, the 1920 John McDermott & Marshall Neilan California silent juvenile adventure comedy ("Slowly the guillotine swings down on her"; "A Drama of San Francisco's Chinatown"; about a newsboy who has multiple adventures including fighting with Asian drug smugglers in Chinatown) starring Wesley Barry (in the title role as Dinty), Noah Beery Sr., Colleen Moore, Aaron Mitchell, J. Barney Sherry, Marjorie Daw, and Tom Wilson (a large white man who specialized in playing black roles in the early silent days when studios were reluctant to hire African Americans; he would put burnt cork on his face and skin!; he appeared in The Kid, but not in a black role) NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Glass slides were designed to be put in a special projector that would project the image onto a movie screen (they use exactly the same concept as 35mm slides). We have taken a digital photo of each that shows the general condition of the overall slide and holder, and we have also made a digital scan that shows the glass image well, but does not show the holder (except as a dark outline). Condition: very good. Learn More about condition grades
