Date Sold 3/19/2009 Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. 2 Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Cards (11x14; LCs; measures 11" x 14") (Learn More) Tongues of Flame, the 1924 Joseph Henabery silent Native American Indian reservation romantic melodrama ("From the story by Peter Clark MacFarlane"; about a group of Native Americans who are forced to live on a reservation, and a businessman wants to buy that very land for mysterious reasons, and he will stop at nothing to get it) starring Thomas Meighan, Bessie Love, Eileen Percy, Berton Churchill, and John Miltern. Note that this is a "lost" film, which means that no surviving copies are thought to exist. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that these are hand-colored cards. In the days of silent movies prior to the invention of good quality full-color printing, studios would have lobby cards printed in black and white and then amazingly would hire women to hand-color the cards one at a time (apparently labor was very cheap at the time)! So, each card is colored slightly differently, and the coloring is never a perfect match. Condition: good to very good. Both cards were folded in half vertically at one time.
